Yagan House is the kind of small, family-run hostal you don't expect to find in a transit town - and it often becomes the best part of the trip. The common room has a wood stove, plants everywhere, and a dog by the door; the warmth starts at entry. Breakfast is genuinely good: eggs to order, oatmeal, bread, yogurt, coffee from 6am for early park departures. The bilingual staff knows Torres del Paine intimately, books tours, recommends restaurants, and rents trekking gear on-site. Private rooms with en-suite bathrooms are the standout. Prices run above the local average - you'll know this upfront - but guests almost universally say every peso was worth it.
