Plantasia is a interior tropical garden in Roma Norte that pulls you out of Mexico City's chaos with theatrical efficiency. Buddhas, cascading plants, filtered light, and ambient music do most of the work - the space justifies a visit on its own. The vegan Asian fusion kitchen has genuine peaks (truffle udon, spicy watermelon roll, dessert brioche) and valleys where aesthetics win over flavor. Ramen and curries are weaker plays. Service is warm overall, but there's a documented pattern of active tipping pressure that sours the exit. It works best as a group meal where you order widely and share the cost and risk. Not for anyone expecting technically rigorous Asian cooking.
Plantasia pulls off something genuinely hard: plant-based food that wins over people who walked in with no idea it was vegan. The space, all high ceilings draped in green and filtered light, earns its reputation on its own, and the truffle udon is worth ordering
